Handmade Bei Dou Yi Hao
Bei Dou Yi Hao comes from first-generation cuttings from the revered Da Hong Pao ("Big Red Robe") mother trees cultivated in Bei Dou, and is one of the Si Da Ming Cong, or "Four Big Famous Bushes". These trees are tall, with dense branches and rich, glossy green leaves. The leaves from these trees are harvested from early- to mid-April each year.
This tea was processed using traditional methods with several charcoal roasts. The quality of this tea is excellent. The colour of the dry leaves is green and brown with a slight reddish hue. When infused, the tea liquour is a crystal clear amber colour. The fragrance is rich and fresh, with notes of fruit. The taste is strong and has a long-lasting yan yun ("rock rhyme"), as one would expect of the Da Hong Pao varietal.
