Who we are
We sell Yixing teapots, aged liu bao, puerh and Wuyi cliff tea, sourced directly from the people who make and keep them.
Our teapots come from Yixing in Jiangsu province, made from zisha, the purple clay that has been dug and worked there for five centuries. We carry five grades of clay, from Bronze through Silver, Gold and Jade to Diamond, alongside rarer ores such as Zhao Zhuang Hong Ni. The grade is not decoration: denser clay holds heat more steadily, seasons faster, and changes what your tea does in the cup.
Our tea comes from a single family merchant in Malaysia whose liu bao vault runs from the 1950s to the present day, and from growers in Wuyi and Yunnan we have worked with for years. We list aged sheng and shou puerh, ancient tree material, twelve varietals of cliff tea from the current harvest, and liu bao that has been quietly ageing since before most of our customers were born.
We have been doing this since 2016. Most of what we sell exists in ones and twos, and when a pot is gone it is gone. We photograph everything honestly, including the wear, and we are glad to answer questions before you buy.
