2019 Wild Anxi Tieguanyin
This tea is something very special indeed.
Our wild Tieguanyin comes from a forest protected by Master Chen Lianggu on Bi Jia Shan in Anxi. This tea garden receives no deliberate management - no chemical fertilizer, no pesticides, and all the trees were seed propagated within natural biodiversity. These trees range in age from 100 - 300 years. During the picking season, bamboo scaffolding is used to climb the trees to harvest the leaves.
Roasted with lychee charcoal for 25 hours, this tea is processed in the traditional way. It is clear and bright with a sweet, mellow, and full body. You are unlikely to find a Tieguanyin of this quality anywhere else.
You can read more about Chen Lianggu in the About section, under the "Our Farmers" tab.
