“Congratulation”: Traditionally-processed Liu Bao (mid 1990s)
“Congratulation” (Pu Tian He Qing) from Cha Zhi Ji’s premium collection of Malaysian-storage Liu Bao is mellow and smooth with a rounded taste profile. Originated from Wuzhou of the Guangxi Province, it was processed in the time-honoured way that includes wet piling and steaming to facilitate fermentation. Professionally stored in Malaysia, the tea offers a mellow brew with a signature flavour that denotes its unique journey of ageing.
“Congratulation” Liu Bao belongs to the dark tea (hei cha) category. The relatively light fermentation at the time of production has lent much room for subsequent ageing, which refines its quality and accentuates its appeal in appearance, aroma and flavour.
“Congratulation” Liu Bao is packed with a comforting aged tea aroma. The silky sweet infusion showcases the classic Liu Bao style, promoting salivation and offering a delightful taste that lingers.
