Half-Handmade Rou Gui

2021 Harvest

Our half-handmade Rou Gui is a fragrant Cliff Tea made from the leaves of the Rou Gui (“Cassia”) varietal. The leaves of the finished tea are neat and evenly curled and are a glossy blackish-green colour. The dry leaf has a sweet fragrance.

The flavour of the tea liquor is strong and enduring. It is mellow and refreshing to drink, and the fragrance lingers in the mouth long after you swallow the tea. The liquor is a clear, bright yellow and the brewed leaves are green with reddish edges.

This Rou Gui is characterised by its purity and richly layered aroma, with elements of fruit, flowers and cinnamon.
