Yiwu King Raw Puerh 2017 (400g)

Yiwu Mountain is one of the original Six Great Tea Mountains, situated near the village of Yiwu in Mengla County, Xishuangbanna. Fertile soil, mild climate, abundant rainfall and swirling mists give the region its reputation, and its old-growth trees grow scattered through forest at around 1400 metres.

This cake was pressed in 2017 from ancient tree material and is now approaching its tenth year, sitting in that lovely early-ageing window where Yiwu's honeyed softness begins to deepen without losing its light. The liquor is clear and sweet with a long returning finish. The crown of our raw puerh shelf.
