Qian Gu Ling Ya Raw Puerh - Ancient Spirit Buds (400g)

Qian Gu Ling Ya translates as ancient spirit buds. These are early spring buds, hand picked from single tea trees believed to be over a thousand years old, growing wild in Yunnan forest that has never seen fertiliser or spray.

The liquor is thick and golden, with the deep cooling sweetness that only old-growth material gives. Ten consecutive vintages are available, 2015 through 2024, each pressed as a 400g cake and wrapped in bamboo. The older cakes have had a decade of clean dry ageing; the younger ones are excellent candidates for the cellar.
