This old-growth shou puerh originates from Yunnan Province. The trees from which it was harvested are around 400 years old, which means that their roots have grown deep into the soil, allowing the trees to absorb nutrients from the lower layers. These trees don’t need artificial fertilizer – they get all the moisture and nutrients they need from their own roots. This makes old-growth tea both environmentally friendly and free from pollutants.       

This tea is full of nutrients, with a sweet, refreshing liquor and a lingering aftertaste. The liquor is quite strong, with a lot of substance to it - the mouthfeel is dense and pleasant. A sip of this tea reveals a simple and honest liquor, full-flavoured with a broad, relaxed vigour.

This tea has a level of elegance you will not experience in many shou teas.
