2012 Qi Sheng Gu (400g)
Our Qi Sheng Gu puerh was made using superb sun-dried maocha from a high-altitude tea mountain, from trees between 200 and 300 years old. It is a wonderful example of a modern sheng puerh produced using traditional techniques, which can be experienced in each cup. The surface of the tea cake is tightly and evenly compressed, and the leaves are plump and glossy with visible hairs. The liquor is dense, sweet and mellow, with very little bitterness or astringency. This tea has a robust energy and leaves the throat feeling cool and refreshed with no sensation of dryness.
This is another great candidate for aging or drinking now.
